At age 32, Piscatella underwent cardiac bypass surgery. Today, 34 years later, he is one of the longest living survivors of bypass surgery in the world and is dedicating his life to successfully managing his health through lifestyle habits. Piscatella knows the science of exercise, diet and a balanced life and how difficult it can be to truly incorporate all three into an everyday routine. He will share his expertise on breaking through and overcoming the barriers to healthy living. His keynote speech includes assistance on reading food labels, cooking healthy for yourself and your family and incorporating a healthy diet into the workday.
Piscatella is the president of the Institute for Fitness & Health. He has authored 12 best-selling books and is the host of three PBS television programs.
