RENO — Blue Moon Promotions, a local advertising and promotional products supplier, has selected three local nonprofits to receive funding from the One Community Grant. Sierra Nevada Journeys will receive $10,000, The Ridge House will receive $5,000 and the Nevada Discovery Museum will receive $2,500.

“We are proud to be able to support our community’s nonprofits organizations,” said Klaus Grimm, owner of Blue Moon Promotions. “Blue Moon supports our local nonprofits in order to help them continue the important work they do to meet our community’s ever-growing needs. The One Community Grant will help Sierra Nevada Journeys, The Ridge House and the Nevada Discovery Museum in their efforts to better serve the community and improve the quality of life in northern Nevada.”

Blue Moon Promotions received 162 applications from northern Nevada nonprofits and conducted an in-depth review process for the One Community Grant.

Sierra Nevada Journeys works to encourage youth and the community to take care of the environment through education, leadership development and service. The Ridge House works to help former criminals reenter society. The Nevada Discovery Museum’s mission is to inspiring curiosity, creativity and the joy of lifelong learning.
