Longtime physical therapist opens ‘body shop’

RENO — Longtime Reno physical therapist Todd Eekhoff has announced the opening of his first private practice, Todd’s Body Shop, located at 4655 Longley Lane, suite 107. Eekhoff specializes in the consultation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletes utilizing manual orthopedic techniques for treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Eekhoff is a consultant for the UNR athletic department as well as for all Reno-Sparks area high school athletic programs and PGA professional Scott McCarron.

Prior to opening Todd’s Body Shop, Eekhoff worked for 17 years at Nevada Physical Therapy. He obtained his master of physical therapy degree in 1988 from the University of Iowa. Eekhoff holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa.

In addition to his practice as a physical therapist, Eekhoff also has dedicated his career to teaching others as a speaker for the Southern California section of PGA of America, as a speaker for various professional organizations regarding safety and injury prevention and as a clinical education instructor for students from the universities of Southern California and San Francisco.
