RENO — The Nevada football team’s popular “Practice With the Pack” youth football day is scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. at Wolf Pack Park, head coach Chris Ault announced.

The event provides a unique opportunity for youth football players to practice with the Wolf Pack and interact with the players and coaching staff. It is open to all youth football players, middle-school aged and younger, and is free. Youth players who wish to participate need only to wear a jersey or T-shirt and athletic shoes or football cleats. Players should also bring their own water to the event.

The youth players will have the opportunity to go through football drills with the Wolf Pack coaching staff and players. Nevada’s players and coaches will also be available after the event for pictures and autographs.

“This event is one of the oldest traditions of Nevada Football and it has been one of the cornerstones of our program in terms of building a bond with the football community since the 1980s,” said Ken Wilson, Nevada’s associate head coach.

In addition to the Wolf Pack football team and coaching staff, the Nevada cheerleading team will also be at the event.

The clinic begins at 1:30 p.m. and will go until 3 p.m. Wolf Pack Park is located directly east of Mackay Stadium and west of Peccole Park. Free parking is available in the lots next to Peccole Park (off Evans Road) with additional parking available in the West Stadium Parking Complex (off Virginia Street).
