All entrants will recieve a Certificate of Participation. All entries that meet the contest guidelines will receive honorable mention certificates, be eligible for prizes of $50 to $100 in savings bonds, and be displayed throughout the community during National Fair Housing Month, the month of April. Last year, more than 450 students participated.
Participation in this event fosters a better sense of understanding, acceptance and appreciation for the diversity in neighborhoods and communities. This contest is intended to help the youth of our community understand the fundamental right of all residents of Nevada to have equal access to housing regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, family status or disability.
Contest guidelines and registration information are available at www.silverstatefairhousing.org or by calling SSFHC at 324-0990.
