At 1:40 a.m., Reno police officers responded to the Douglas Alley in the 200 block of North Virginia Street after hearing shots being fired in the area. Responding officers located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim is listed in serious but stable condition.

Woods was found in possession of a stolen handgun and was arrested for weapons-related charges as well as probation violation. Detectives are trying to determine if Woods was involved in or responsible for the shooting.
Detectives also are reviewing surveillance videos from the area of the shooting to try to identify the shooting suspect and his companions.
It is believed there were possibly a number of witnesses who might have seen the shooting. Anyone with information about this shooting is encouraged to call the Robbery/Homicide Division at 334-2115 or 334-2188, or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
