Armed robbery at Friends Liquor store

Surveillance Photos Police are looking for the man in the hooded sweatshirt regarding a string of robberies on Sunday.
RENO — Police are looking for a man believed to be connected to several robberies.

At 9:56 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to Friends Liquor, located at 354 N. Virginia St., on a report of a robbery. A lone suspect had entered the business and approached the employee behind the counter. The suspect produced a handgun from his waistband and demanded cash from the register. The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, at which time he fled on foot. The employee was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is a white male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a slim build, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt or jacket and dark-colored pants. The suspect was reported to have a “black eye,” however it is unconfirmed which eye.

Three additional armed robberies were committed by a suspect matching a similar description shortly after the initial robbery was reported. It is unconfirmed if it is the same suspect who committed these robberies. The additional robberies were as follows:

• 10:08 p.m at Jashan Market, 436 N. Virginia St.

• 11:24 p.m at the 7-Eleven store at 3085 S. Virginia St.

• 11:34 p.m. at the AM-PM market at 1390 S. Virginia St.
