SPARKS — Coupon booklets for the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. on June 1 at the Sparks Parks and Recreation office located at 98 Richards Way. The annual program allows low-income senior residents to redeem coupons for free locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables from program-certified produce vendors at the farmer’s markets held during the summer. The coupon booklets are limited to the first 75 low-income seniors age 60 years and older.
The Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition program is a USDA program sponsored through the State of Nevada. For more information, call 353-2376.
