RENO — A security guard who died just after a confrontation with a drunk person Thursday has been identified.

Daniel Hundson, 63, a Reno resident, was a security guard at Sierra Nevada Job Corps and was attempting to deal with an intoxicated man who was causing a disturbance at about 4:30 p.m. A fight ensued and just after it was over Hundson collapsed. Emergency medical crews were called but they were unable to revive him. Hundson died at the hospital.

The intoxicated person, Andrew John Weist, 20, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, two counts of battery and one count of a minor in consumption.

The investigation is still continuing, so anyone with information is requested to call the Reno Police Department at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
