RENO — Troopers from the Major Accident Investigation Team are still investigating the fatality crash that killed a Sun Valley resident last Friday afternoon on U.S. 395 near the Glendale interchange. Investigators would like anyone who may have noticed the driving pattern of either the black 2010 Nissan Versa 4-door sedan or the burgundy Kawasaki motorcycle to call them.

Both vehicles were traveling southbound on U.S. 395 around 1 p.m. when they collided as the driver of the Nissan was making a lane change. The motorcycle traveled toward the Glendale off ramp and hit the exit sign while the driver of the Nissan stopped his vehicle on the right shoulder area near the crash scene. Although police had several people stop to render aid immediately after the accident, they did not have anyone stop to fill out a witness statement.

Those recalling anything at all are encouraged to contact either Trooper Mike Gocke or Trooper Robert Haigney at 689-4682, or the Department of Public Safety-Communications Center at 687-0400 regarding case No. NHP-1105060789.
