The Homeowners Disaster Assistance Program was created by the state Legislature to help homeowners with costly repairs in the event of a disaster.
It currently has about $4.5 million in available funds, and homeowners can qualify for up to $28,800 in assistance.
The program is open to Fernley residents whose homes were flooded when an irrigation canal ruptured on Jan. 5.
A program spokesman says residents who have received assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency also may qualify for state aid.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood Elementary School.
