Reward offered in attempted robbery case

RENO — Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the attempted armed robbery of Dotty’s Casino at 2870 Northtowne Lane #102 in Reno.

On April 22 at 12:35 p.m., the suspect entered the business, grabbed a female employee, displayed a knife, and demanded cash from the register. The employee fought back and yelled for help. The suspect fled on foot after being chased by casino patrons. No one was injured during the incident and there was no money lost.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic adult in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing black sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black baggie shorts and black sneakers with a white rim. He also possessed a small folding knife.

Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone having information relating to this crime or the suspect should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2115, Secret Witness at 322-4900, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) with the keyword SW.
