CARSON CITY — An elderly man crashed his truck Saturday morning, possibly because of a medical condition.

At about 9:15 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to an accident on U.S. Highway 50 east of Airport Road. An investigation shows that a white Chevrolet truck driven by David Lee Easlick, a 72-year-old Carson City resident, was traveling west on U.S. Highway 50 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered to the left crossing the eastbound lanes and leaving the roadway into a private drive. The vehicle crashed through a fence onto an asphalt parking lot, striking four vehicles that were parked unoccupied in front of a motel and coming to rest on its wheels.

Easlick was transported to the Carson Tahoe Hospital. A medical condition is being looked at that might have been a contributing factor.

Anyone who might have seen the collision, or who can provide additional information, is encouraged to contact Trooper Scott Morron at the NHP Carson City substation at 775-687-7380 or the Department of Public Safety's Communications Center at 775-687-0400 regarding case number NHP-1103260308.
