RENO — On Friday at about 2 p.m. a lone suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank located at 8165 S. Virginia St. The suspect approached a bank teller and demanded money. He fled the bank after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.

Reno police detectives along with agents from the FBI were conducting surveillance on several banks within the city limits when the robbery took place. Shortly after the robbery, Reno patrol officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle used in a prior bank robbery from last week. Officers subsequently arrested the occupants of the vehicle and transported the individuals to the Reno Police Department for questioning.

Both suspects were interviewed by Reno police detectives and the FBI. Subsequent to the interviews Travis Antonio Hall, 21, of Reno, and Brandon Mark Hirning, 21, also of Reno, were arrested for three counts of bank robbery. These robberies include United Federal Credit that took place on March 18, Wells Fargo Bank on March 21 and Friday’s robbery at Wells Fargo Bank.

Anyone with additional information on this crime or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 825-6600, the Reno Police Department Robbery/Homicide Unit at 334-2188 or remain anonymous by calling Secret Witness at 322-4900.
