While snow flurries were falling after Friday night’s track meet at Reed High, Raiders coach Dale Moss said he was glad they moved the meet up a day because he wasn’t sure if anyone else would get their meets in on Saturday.

He was right.

Friday night’s snow and low temperatures wreaked havoc on Saturday’s high school sports schedule, wiping the slate clean.

Spanish Springs and Reed softball as well as Sparks baseball will have to make up league doubleheaders. The Raiders will make up one game Monday at 3:45p.m. and find another day to play the nightcap. However, the other two teams are hoping to play the twin bill Monday with games starting at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sparks’ doubleheader, which was originally scheduled for in Incline, has been moved to Sparks.

Spanish Springs and Reed baseball only have one game to make up. The first game of their series with Carson and Douglas respectively will be made up on Monday at 3:45 p.m. on the road.

Forecasts are calling for more snow on Monday though, so coaches are crossing their fingers.
