RENO — Bishop Manogue Catholic High School (BMCHS) will induct three new members to its hall of fame Saturday.

Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Randolph Calvo at 5 p.m. with an induction ceremony and reception to follow at the school’s Christ the Teacher Chapel, 110 Bishop Manogue Drive.

New inductees will include Norm Dianda, Joe Anxo and Charles Mathewson.

Dianda is owner of Q & D Construction in Reno, the firm that was responsible for building BMCHS’s state-of-the-art facility. In addition to overseeing construction, Dianda was instrumental in garnering community support and donations for the capital campaign.

Anxo has been a Bishop Manogue parent and grandparent for many years, supporting the school in numerous projects and adding his considerable enthusiasm to athletic events.

Mathewson is a former Manogue parent and major donor to the school. He worked diligently during the school’s capital campaign to solicit donors and bring the dream of a new campus to fruition.

BMCHS is a four-year, co-educational, Catholic high school in Reno. It is the only Catholic high school in northern Nevada, and was established in 1948. It is a separately incorporated nonprofit diocesan school operated under the authority of Calvo, who also is the chief pastor and teacher of the diocese.
