Police look into fatal accident

RENO — At 6:50 a.m. Sunday, REMSA and Reno police and fire department units responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Kietzke Lane and Grove Street. A small sedan that had hit a utility pole was found along the curb. The male occupant was found in the driver’s seat unresponsive. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial information from the investigation incidates speed and alcohol are not factors. Identification of the driver is pending notification of family members.

No witnesses came forward while Reno Police Department officers were on the scene. Anyone with any information regarding this accident is are encouraged to contact the Reno Police Department Traffic Division at 334-2141 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
