“It’s important for the students of the state of Nevada to know that their lawmakers are listening and it’s just as important that representatives in the state of Nevada know that students will not stand idly by as decisions about the future of our education and state are being made,” said Director of Legislative Affairs Casey Stiteler.
On Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. the State Budget Forum will be held for students to learn more about the state budget crisis and how it will affect them. Students will voice concerns to ASUN representatives, find ways to get involved and advocate for their education and the future of education in the state of Nevada. The forum will take place in the Joe Crowley Student Union, Room 422.
On Saturday at 8 a.m., the Caravan to the Nevada State Budget Town Hall Meeting will be hosted for UNR students to convene on campus prior to the public meeting, where they will represent higher education, later that morning.
