Free Wolf Pack rally towels for bowl game

RENO — Silver and Blue Outfitters, the official merchandiser of Nevada athletics, located in the Meadowood Mall, announced Wednesday a partnership with community businesses to give away 15,000 rally towels for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on Jan. 9.

Towels are sponsored by Silver and Blue Outfitters, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, Great Basin Brewing Co., The Wolf Den and Tamarack Junction. Towels are available now while supplies last. Each distribution location has about 4,000 towels. Fans must present bowl tickets or proof of purchase (receipt, e-mail confirmation of Silver and Blue bus trip package, etc.) to receive a free towel.

Towel distribution locations are:

• Tamarack Junction, 13101 S. Virginia St. in Reno

• The Wolf Den, 1305 N. Virginia St. in Reno

• Silver and Blue Outfitters, 5515 Meadowood Mall Circle in Reno

• Great Basin Brewing Co., 846 Victorian Ave. in Sparks or 5525 S. Virginia St. in Reno

More than 550 fans are expected to board 10 Silver and Blue-sponsored buses to see Nevada play Boston College. Individuals driving cars also are invited to Meadowood Mall on Jan. 9 to kick off the trip. Silver and Blue Outfitters will be open at 7 a.m. on Jan. 9 for any last-minute Nevada gear needs and bowl merchandise will be available in the store and at the alumni party.
