RENO — A man has been taken into custody for allegedly abusing a 2-month-old child.
On Tuesday, Reno Police Department patrol officers responded to a local hospital to investigate possible child abuse in a broken femur case. Detectives called and interviewed the child’s parents.
Upon completion of the investigation, the child’s father, Terrance Smith, was arrested for child abuse and domestic battery. His bail was set at $6,700. The child was admitted to the hospital and was scheduled for surgery to repair the broken femur.
