Spencer Empey took care of business Friday in his only match at state. He took care of business even faster Saturday morning when he pinned Devin Dishari of Spring Valley to get within one win of a third straight state championship.

There was plenty on the line in Friday night's Rail City rivalry matchup between the Reed and Spanish Springs boys basketball teams. Spanish Springs boys basketball coach Kyle Penney was seen putting a rope into his coaching bag just after the final buzzer sounded Tuesday. It's unclear what the rope was intended for, but if Penney was having thoughts about tying a noose and using it on someone, it would be hard to blame him.
