Joe Maisano of northwest Reno timed this shot just right but didn t know it until later.

"I was taking pictures of the thunderclouds and our flag not knowing what I had captured until I uploaded the photos to my computer. This is amazing."

RENO — Northern Nevada law enforcement agencies say it was a relatively quiet New Year's Eve.

Reno police say aside from some minor fights, there were no big incidents.

About 30 people were arrested, and most were alcohol related.

The Washoe County sheriff's office says 91 people were booked into jail from 6 p.m. New Year's Eve through 6 a.m. Thursday.

Of those, 31 were charged with driving under the influence and one was charged with domestic battery.

Twenty-six people were jailed under civil protective custody because they were too intoxicated to care for themselves. They were to be released after sleeping it off.
