At about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, the Reno Police Department responded to report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Mae Anne Avenue and McCarran Boulevard in Reno.

Man arrested for DUI, felony warrant arrest
On Monday at about 4 p.m., a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper observed a motorist make an unsafe lane change, cutting off another eastbound motorist in the adjacent lane. This traffic violation took place on eastbound Interstate 80 just east of the Wells Avenue interchange.

Details needed in hit and run in Douglas County
On Tuesday, at 5:35 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to a vehicle collision on U.S. 395 at the intersection with Buckeye Road in Douglas County. Two vehicles were stopped in the left northbound lane for a red traffic light when a silver Chevrolet or Dodge pickup failed to slow and stop for the vehicles.

DUI checkpoint Saturday in Reno
Law enforcement personnel from the Reno and Sparks police departments, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Highway Patrol are teaming up to conduct a DUI checkpoint this weekend. With grant funding provided by the Northern Nevada DUI Task Force, the administrative roadblock will be taking place from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday on Kietzke Lane in Reno.

Suspect in 2008 murder arrested
On Nov. 30, wanted suspect Cesar Garcia, 26, was arrested in Mexico on a provisional arrest warrant in connection with a shooting that occurred two years ago outside a Reno club.
