Sparks to dedicate solar project at Golden Eagle
SPARKS — The city of Sparks and NV Energy are celebrating completion of a solar power project expected to reduce the city’s annual electric costs by more than $40,000. As part of its Sustainability Action Plan, the city has installed 200 kilowatts of solar power (photovoltaic panels) in the park area and the parking lot of the city’s Golden Eagle Regional Park and Sports Complex.
