RENO — This summer, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte will host a week-long leadership program from June 11 through 15 at Bartley Ranch. “Strong Girls Bright Futures” provides workshops on leadership and empowerment to build a brighter future for young women ages 13 to 15. All sessions are led by trained facilitators and include yoga and wellness, sexuality education and team-building and leadership.

“ ‘Strong Girls Bright Futures’ is designed to build young women up and educate them on important topics,” said Kayla Armbruster, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte community educator. “They can ask questions in a safe environment and learn together what it means to be a leader and a strong woman.”

The program has a suggested donation of $250, but partial and full scholarships are available. Space is limited. For more information or to RSVP, call 321-8722 by May 28.
