Just before 6 a.m., Sparks police responded to the single-vehicle accident on Sparks Boulevard just south of Pyramid Way. Officers arrived and discovered a Honda wagon had rolled multiple times, and the woman driver had been ejected from the vehicle. According to police, the driver was unable to maneuver a slight bend in the roadway, and it struck a median on the shoulder of the road, causing it roll. The woman was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center, where she died a short time later.
The woman’s name is not being released at this time, as notifications are pending. Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor to the accident, police said.
