CARSON CITY — The second ad hoc task force meeting on unlicensed health care in Nevada, led by former Nevada Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa, will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday and will be videoconferenced between Carson City and Las Vegas locations. The meeting will be held in room 2134 of the Legislative Counsel Bureau at 401 S. Carson St. in Carson City and in room 4401 of the Grant Sawyer Building on 555 E. Washington Ave. in Las Vegas. Members of the public are invited and the meeting is open to the public and press.

The ad hoc task force is one part of the ongoing initiative addressing this problem in Nevada.  Attorney General Catherine Cortez-Masto and the Nevada State Health Division have sought a public-private partnership to address this public policy issue.  Reports will be made as solutions to address this problem are sought. The next task force meeting is scheduled for April 24 at 1 p.m.

This initiative is paid for by United Health Settlement Funds. For more information about the unlicensed health care public awareness campaign, visit www.unr.edu/latinocenter.
