TYSON CORNER, Va. — CustomInk, the “design online” custom t-shirt company, announced this week it will open a new location in Reno.
The new facility will occupy 25,000 square feet in the Capital Commerce Center. Operations at the new location will include customer service, pre-production services, logistics and production. CustomInk expects to hire 75 to 100 people in the first year of Reno operations.
The Reno location will be the first outpost in the western part of the United States for the northern Virginia-based CustomInk. Since its founding in 2000, CustomInk has grown to an $83 million business. The company recently serviced its one millionth customer.
“CustomInk believes that custom T-shirts have the power to unite a group of people or transform a special occasion. We want to make it as fun and easy as possible for everyone to create and get the perfect shirts,” said CustomInk President and Co-founder Marc Katz. “Our new Reno location is a big part of that effort. We’ll be able to extended our customer service hours and speed our shipping to the western U.S.”
Approximately half of the jobs at the Reno location will be in sales and service. Other positions will be in order processing and production. The vast majority of the Reno team will be hired locally.

CustomInk has been nationally recognized by Entrepreneur magazine and The Great Place to Work Institute as one of the best mid-sized workplaces in America. The company’s headquarters location in Tysons Corner, Va., has received multiple Best Places to Work accolades from regional publications and organizations. The company intends to form partnerships with community service organizations in the Reno area.
