Sparks boys, girls fall to Spring Creek

The Sparks boys basketball season is not getting any shorter.

The Railroaders fell at home to Spring Creek Saturday night, 65-48, and has won just a one of 13 games this games this season. Spring Creek improved to 5-8.

Sparks took a 14-11 lead into the second quarter but trailed 29-25 at the half and never saw the lead again. The guest to a 50-38 lead into the fourth quarter before outscoring the hosts 15-10 in the final quarter.

Isaiah Campbell led the Railroaders with 20 points, hitting 8-of-16 shots from the floor including four from behind the arc.

Victor Trinidad and Kevin Borja both chipped in nine.

The Railroaders will hope to pick up their second win of the game Tuesday at South Tahoe. The Vikings are 4-9.

The girls did not fair any better than the boys falling 46-6 to the Spartans.

The Railroaders fell to 1-10 this season while the visitors improved to 10-9.

Sparks plays at South Tahoe Tuesday. Tip is at 6 p.m.
