RENO -- The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) will host a community planning workshop to review and discuss the transportation alternatives for the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Washoe County Senior Services Center (cafeteria/multi-purpose room)

1155 East 9th Street in Reno.

With input received from the public, the community-based RTP identifies and defines the future transportation needs of the region. Information to be discussed at the workshop includes projected regional traffic congestion analysis, potential transit enhancements and improvements, as well as bicycle and pedestrian needs, prioritization of road and transportation projects, and transportation

funding issues.

Public input is needed as the RTC begins to finalize the 2035 RTP. The RTC encourages the public to attend the workshop to share their opinions about our community’s transportation needs and the RTP update that will serve to preserve our quality-of-life and implement quality transportation systems to support our economic prosperity for a vibrant economy.
