RENO — The Reno Chamber Orchestra (RCO), led by maestro Theodore Kuchar, will perform Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and Astor Piazzolla’s “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires” at 7 p.m. today. World-renowned violinist Bella Hristova will be the violin soloist for both pieces at the Nightingale Concert Hall located at 1664 N. Virginia St. in Reno.

Hristova will also perform an unforgettable evening of music dedicated to the unaccompanied violin at 7 p.m. Saturday. The 26-year-old award-winning virtuoso performs John Corigliano’s “Red Violin Caprices,” 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Kevin Puts’s “Arches,” Piazzolla’s “Three Tango Etudes,” Nathan Milstein’s “Paganiniana” and J.S. Bach’s monumental “Partita” in D minor. The concert will take place in the newly constructed and acoustically brilliant Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Hristova performs on a 1655 Nicolo Amati violin. General admission for both performances costs $20, and admission costs $5 for youth age 18 and younger and full-time students. $100 VIP tickets are also available for Saturday’s show, which include preferred seating and a post-concert reception with the artist.
