Figures released Tuesday by the secretary of state's office show Democrats registered 12,163 voters last month, compared with 5,042 voters who registered Republican. Another 6,575 voters registered as non-partisan.
The latest numbers give Democrats a 55,716 statewide voter registration advantage over the GOP with two months until the November election.
Democrats account for 41 percent of Nevada voters; Republicans make up 36 percent; and nearly 17 percent are nonpartisans. The remaining voters are affiliated with minor political parties.
