Man stabbed in chest during domestic disturbance

RENO — A fight between a man and woman Friday afternoon ended with the man being stabbed in the chest, according to police.

The unidentified couple were treated for non-life-threatening injuries in the incident, which occurred at 160 Sinclair St. just before 3 p.m. The man and woman, who live together, had been arguing for an undetermined amount of time before the stabbing. There was also some reported physical violence between them on at least one occasion before the woman stabbed the man in the chest and then fled to seek assistance from the apartment complex management, police said. The identities are being withheld until the investigation can be completed and a determination as to who is the victim and who is the suspect can be made. No charges have been filed yet.
