The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Monday (http://bit.ly/QUCfFe ) the June reprimand came after the Clark County district attorney's office sought to remove Jonathan MacArthur from defending a man in a 2010 kidnapping, robbery and battery case.
An aide said MacArthur was in court Monday. He did not immediately respond to messages.
Prosecutors alleged MacArthur told the victim the defendant's parents would pay restitution if the victim changed his testimony.
MacArthur later acknowledged the restitution offer and withdrew from the case.
MacArthur is seeking election in November as a North Las Vegas justice of the peace.
