“We want to thank the many people in the community who have donated their goods and supported our mission,” said Rob Harden, president of Goodwill Northern Nevada. “They are the ones that have made it possible for us to expand.”
As a charity, Goodwill sells the donated items to support various mission services, including job training for people with physical or developmental disabilities and other barriers to employment, job placement services, human services programs and more. Goodwill employs 125 people at its 10 locations and will add 35 to 60 new jobs with the opening of its new store.
Goodwill will celebrate the grand opening of the new store located at 6407 Virginia St. on Oct. 15. The store opens at 6 a.m. with a full day of activities, including a fashion show featuring name brands at bargain prices, along with Halloween costume ideas for the whole family.
Everyone is invited to come shop and enjoy the events.
