VIRGINIA CITY — The Comstock History Center is proud to present “Geographical Divides: Finding Common Ground,” an exhibit that explores the connections and dissimilarities between northern and southern Nevada cultures and geographies. Sixteen Nevada artists – eight from the south of the state and eight from the north, separated by 300 miles of vast desert – paired up with their geographical counterpoints to collaborate on art that commented on each other’s economic, environmental, political and social settings. An exhibit that shouldn’t be missed, Geographical Divides provides a visual discussion about Nevada in all of its complexities.

The exhibit is open now and runs through Dec. 15. History Center hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays. The History Center is located at 20 N. E St. in Virginia City. The exhibit is free and is open to the public.
