Deba Sue Hamilton Bowman was born on April 7, 1939 in Phoenix, AZ and entered into the gates of Heaven on March 18, 2012 in Sparks, Nevada with her daughters by her side.

Deba, also known as, “Susie,” grew up in Dos Palos and Marysville, CA, among other places. She married Joe Bowman in Reno, NV on June 12, 1970, and has been a resident of Reno for almost 40 years. She worked as a receptionist for the Sparks Tribune Big Nickel newspaper for many years.

Deba was preceded in death by her parents Vera and Ed Hamilton, her son Michael Bowman and step son Billy Bowman. Deba is survived by her loving husbandof 41 years, Joe Bowman, her sister Betty Rogers (Don), sister in law Juanita Guenaga, children Cheryl Purtill (Garry) Chris Pulliam(Dave), Katie Lynch (Jason), Matthew Bowman (Robin), and step son Brad Bowman, grandchildren Shane, Chris, Zachary, Taylor, Dakota, Emily, Chloe, Sampson, Jamie, Tina and Heidi as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Deba’s first great grandchild is on the way!It is difficult to say goodbye to such a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by us all! She also loved her reality TV shows, her annual girls’ trip with her daughters, and her little dog, Sassy.

A celebration of Deba’s life will be held on Friday,

March 30th, 2012 at 1:00pm at Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary at 2155 Kietzke Lane in Reno, NV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern

Nevada Humane Society

or the American Cancer Society in honor of Deba Bowman.
