Accident on McCarran Blvd. hospitalizes 3

RENO — On Wednesday at about 2:05 p.m., a grey Scion, driven by a 21-year-old driver, was reportedly traveling east on McCarran Boulevard between Kings Row and Las Brisas Boulevard at excessive speeds. The car lost control and went into a clockwise spin, jumping the median and hitting the front of a westbound red Subaru with the rear of the Scion. The 18-year-old driver of the Subaru suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The 18-year-old passenger in the Scion suffered a head injury and is in critical condition at a local hospital. The driver of the Scion also was transported to a Reno hospital with minor injuries.

The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded and is asking for information from any witnesses. Witnesses are asked to call 334-2141.
