Grab your sunglasses Friday May 25th and head to Sunnyside to celebrate its 25th Anniversary with the annual Deck Opening Party. Known for its great food, drinks, live music and beautiful lakefront setting, the Sunnyside Deck Opening Party has become a Tahoe ritual that signifies the arrival of summer in the High Sierra. The deck and Mountain Grill will open at 11:30 a.m. and the official party gets underway at 3:00 p.m. with live music from local favorites Ike & Martin until 8:00 p.m. A benefit raffle and silent auction with everything from cruiser bikes to fine wines will take place throughout the day with proceeds benefiting the Sunnyside Scholarship Fund. Each year Sunnyside, through its Legacy of Aloha program, awards multiple scholarships worth thousands of dollars to local students studying culinary arts, hospitality and related fields.
